Galactic Star Command Department Colors
Deep Blue – Command
Deep Blue represents the Command Department, responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational command of Star Command vessels and installations. Officers assigned to Command coordinate every department, make critical decisions, and ensure that each mission is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the ideals of the Galactic Star Union.
Crimson Red – Engineering
Crimson Red represents the Engineering Department, which designs, operates, and maintains the propulsion systems, reactors, defensive technologies, and infrastructure that keep Star Command vessels operational. Engineers are responsible for ensuring every ship remains mission-ready, often solving complex technical problems under the most demanding conditions.
Baby Blue – Pilots & Navigation
Baby Blue represents the Pilots and Navigation Department, responsible for starship flight operations, astrogation, and navigational safety. These officers guide Star Command vessels through known and unexplored regions of space while ensuring the safe movement of personnel, equipment, and civilian traffic.
Tan – Communications
Tan represents the Communications Department, responsible for maintaining secure communications, sensor coordination, information management, and long-range communications networks. Communications officers ensure that accurate information flows between ships, installations, allied governments, and mission teams, even under combat conditions.
Purple – Operations
Purple represents the Operations Department, responsible for coordinating mission planning, logistics, resource management, and daily shipboard operations. Operations personnel ensure that every department works together efficiently so that missions are executed smoothly from beginning to end.
Silver Gray – Tactical, Security & Intelligence
Silver Gray represents the Tactical, Security, and Intelligence Department, responsible for defending Star Command personnel, protecting classified information, and evaluating potential threats to the Union. These officers oversee shipboard security, combat readiness, intelligence analysis, and tactical planning to safeguard both Star Command and the Galactic Star Union.
Orange – Science
Orange represents the Science Department, dedicated to research, scientific discovery, planetary exploration, and the advancement of knowledge. Scientists investigate new worlds, study unknown lifeforms and phenomena, and provide the scientific expertise that supports exploration and informed decision-making.
Emerald Green – Medical
Emerald Green represents the Medical Department, responsible for the health, safety, and well-being of Star Command personnel and civilians under its care. Medical officers provide emergency treatment, preventive care, humanitarian assistance, medical research, and psychological support throughout the Union.
White – Diplomacy
White represents the Diplomatic Corps, serving as Star Command's representatives in matters of diplomacy, first contact, treaty negotiations, and interstellar relations. Diplomats work to resolve conflicts peacefully, strengthen alliances, and ensure that exploration is guided by mutual respect and cooperation.
Olive Drab – MCCC
Olive Drab represents the Marine Corps Combat Cadre (MCCC), Star Command's expeditionary ground combat force responsible for planetary operations, security missions, rapid-response deployments, and combat support. Marines are trained to operate in the most hostile environments, protecting civilians, securing strategic objectives, and serving as the first line of defense whenever Star Command personnel face danger beyond the safety of their ships.
Gold – Admiralty
Gold represents the Admiralty, the senior leadership responsible for the strategic direction, readiness, and long-term planning of Galactic Star Command. Admirals oversee fleet-wide operations, formulate military policy, coordinate major campaigns and exploratory initiatives, and ensure that Star Command remains prepared to defend the Galactic Star Union while fulfilling its mission of peace and exploration.
